We offer permanent residents who are ready to apply for citizenship access to a full program of support: assistance in completing the N-400 naturalization application, an immigration lawyer who reviews all paperwork, weekly citizenship classes to prepare for the interview and exam, and guidance navigating the USCIS system to track a case from start to finish.
The naturalization rate of immigrants who have completed our citizenship classes has been over 95%, historically. (Each naturalization case is different, however, and the past success of OLÉ citizenship students should not be taken as an indication of the likelihood of any applicant’s success in the naturalization process.)
Citizenship is achieved because of individual, family, and community strength. Becoming a naturalized citizen can provide vital protection for people who are at constant risk under draconian immigration laws in the United States.
Members in OLÉ’s citizenship program engage in civic life even before their naturalization. They are speaking up at city council meetings or town halls, making calls or knocking on doors for issues that matter to them. By the time our members become citizens, they’ve already been active in their communities and are eager to step fully into their power as voters and as organizers. Citizenship is just the beginning!
All classes are in-person at our office in Downtown Albuquerque.
