At OLÉ, our endorsements come from members. You decide who gets our stamp of approval, who we urge others to vote for, who we work to elect. Our process is sacred to us: we do the research, we deliberate, and we vote. Sometimes we even meet with the candidates and interview them!
Back in March, we held a special member meeting with Deb Haaland, where members shared our priorities with her, and she listened, answered our questions, and shared her plans for leading the state. Afterward, the endorsement committee met and voted to endorse her to be the next Governor of New Mexico!
Last month, a group of OLÉ members in Southern New Mexico met with Congressman Gabe Vasquez. They sat down for a meal in the home of OLÉ leader Olga Grays, shared their stories, and asked him where he stood on universal childcare, wages, immigration, and more.
“We all felt like we got to connect with him, and I really like the way he spoke about providers and how he’s willing to consider us,” said Wendy Garcia. Because the Congressman really listened and aligned with their values, the members voted to endorse his re-election. For Wendy, the process is about power and accountability. She said, “It really matters… getting that out there and informing people how much it does make a difference when we all come together… We are the ones putting these people in power.”
Below is the full slate of candidates that OLÉ members have endorsed for the 2026 General Election. Share it with your friends and family!
Early voting starts October 6th at county clerks’ offices and Oct 17th at more locations. Election day is November 3rd! See your sample ballot, voting locations, and check your registration at NMvote.org.
